RANA EID
CO-FOUNDER-SOUND DESIGNER
Rana Eid is a sound designer and filmmaker based in Beirut, Lebanon. in 2006 she opened db studios with composer nadim mishlawi, and went on to offer new services in 2017 in partnership with the french company ‘hal audio’. For over 20 years, Rana has worked in the sound department on films and documentaries from the MENA region and around the globe. Her debut film “Panoptic” premiered at the Locarno International Film Festival in 2017, and has since been screened at over 20 other festivals internationally winning several awards. in 2020 she became a member of the academy of motion picture arts and sciences.
NADIM MISHLAWI
CO-FOUNDER-MUSICIAN
Nadim Mishlawi is a composer and filmmaker based in Beirut, Lebanon. Over the passed 15 years, Nadim has composed music for a variety of projects ranging from documentaries, fiction films, and art installations. Nadim made his directorial debut in 2011 with the documentary “Sector Zero,” which won first prize in the Muhr Arab Documentary category at the Dubai International Film Festival in 2011, and the Berlin Art Prize for Film Media Arts in 2013.
LAMA SAWAYA
PARTNER-SOUND DESIGNER
Lama Sawaya graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema in 2008 and a Masters in Cinema Research in 2014 both from the Université Saint Joseph IESAV in Beirut. SHE has been working as a sound EDITOR since 2009 and as a re-recording mixer since 2019. Lama has worked on various projects from documentaries to feature films, and in 2018 became an official partner at DB Studios.

FOLEY ARTIST
MARITA sbeih GRADUATED FROM USJ-IESAV, BEIRUT IN 2016 WITH A BA IN AUDIOVISUAL STUDIES AND HAS BEEN WORKING AT DB AS A FOLEY ARTIST SINCE 2018.
CHERIF ALLAM
SOUND EDITOR
CHERIF allam GRADUATED FROM ALBA, BEIRUT IN 2018 WITH A DEGREE IN AUDIOVISUAL STUDIES. AFTER GRADUATING HE COMPLETED A 5 MONTH INTERNSHIP IN THE POST-PRODUCTION WORLD AT DJINNHOUSE PRODUCTIONS. IN FEBRUARY 2019, CHERIF STARTED WORKING AT DB STUDIOS AS A FOLEY RECORDIST. HE IS NOW A JUNIOR SOUND EDITOR.
